1.2316 is a martensitic chromium steel for plastic moulds, characterized by high corrosion resistance, resistance to chemical attack, excellent wear resistance, uiform hardness in all dimensions, and excellent machinability and polishability. It is widely applied in moulds for chemically aggressive plastics and plastics containing abrasive fillers, silt dies, profile dies, drop forging tools,blowing moulds, insert moulds,etc.
